1. At age 14 while Darrell was driving to toronto with some other kids in a limo. They were pulled over by 10 cop crusers and shutdown the 401 highway for an hour. Guns were drawn but no one was hurt. It costed the tax payers of Ontario $1 000 000 for the incident.


2. The famous 90's t-shirt featuring the Pillsbury Doeboy 'poke me and die' was originally a t-shirt made by a clothing company out of London Ontario called 'IROWNCOW.' This was darrell's first sponsor.


3. While doing his first demo for Ironcow at age 15 he ended up in Owen Sound (population 21,753) and met ATM pro Jesse Landen. Jesse and Darrell still skate together.


4. Darrell's second sponsor was a company called 'Bulletproof.' This company made "Indistructable Skateboards", he received one board and gave it away within the hour. However, this did not stop the brand from using one photo of Darrell for 5 years on every piece of marketing.


5. Darrell's great grandfather was good friends with Buffalo Bill. When Buffalo Bill would travel through Alberta he would often spend weeks on end at his ranch.
6. Darrell also grew up on a farm until the age of 17. He has casturated cattle, had two pet goats and at one point was going to make farming a career.


7. In 2005 a bug bite appeared on Darrell's stomach. Two days later there were red lines leading an infection to his heart. The doctors said if he waited till the infection made it far enough he would have died within a day.

8. In 2007 Darrell lost all his front teeth to a beer bottle to the face. The kicker was that the bottle was thrown at a girls head and just missed her by inches but found it's way to Darrell's face.


9. Darrell has never dropped in on vert.


10. There is a song floating around the internet about Darrell's insecurities. The song is simply called 'The Darrell Song'.


11. Darrell is the king of watching horrible television. His favorite shows include 'Seventh Heaven, The OC, Reba and Degrassi the Next Gereration'.


12. Once while shooting a sequence with Ryan Allen, Darrell's pants came off when he fell. Unfortunatly it was laundry day and he wasn't wearing any underwear. Ryan if you still have this sequence you should forward it to us for the next Studio Ad.


13. When Darrell was 21 years old he saw a skateboard magazine featuring him on the cover. Unfortunatly the photo was a lost photo of Darrell when he was 16 and pre pubesent.
